KINGSTON

In Kingston, 50% of the youth homeless population are female (a higher rate than the rest of Canada) and 77% of youth were approached for prostitution, drugs, criminal or other exploitive activities within only 45 minutes of becoming homeless.

Trek for Teens Kingston was started by several Queen's students in 2016 to address the youth homelessness issue in Kingston by forming a partnership with the Kingston Youth Shelter. Throughout the year there are many events such as concerts and games nights that raise funds to support youth experiencing homelessness in Kingston.
