UMBRELLA DAY
Horizons for Youth is seeking volunteers to assist on Umbrella Day. On May 3, 2016, Horizons for Youth will be offering umbrellas for a one time donation of $15 to $20 at sites across Toronto including various subway stops throughout Toronto (i.e. Finch Station, Eglinton Station, Bloor Station, Queen Station, King Station, St. Andrew Station, Queen’s Park Station, ) and in the Hudson’s Bay Centre, City Hall and Brookfield Place.
The Umbrella Day 2016 motto is: Help them leave the streets behind.
All proceeds from Umbrella Day will go to counseling, treatment and education programs for homeless or at-risk youth.
VOLUNTEER
Horizons for Youth is seeking volunteers to help sell umbrellas and raise awareness of the services they provide. Horizons for Youth is currently accepting individual volunteers as well as student and corporate groups.
They are looking for people who are passionate, energetic, reliable and, more importantly, people who want to make a difference in an at-risk and homeless youth’s life.

HORIZONS FOR YOUTH
Horizons for Youth is a registered charity dedicated to helping homeless and at-risk youth between the ages of 16-24 years old.
They operate a 45 bed shelter for homeless youth but are much more than just a shelter
Horizon’s mission: To shelter, prepare and guide homeless and at-risk youth to be contributing community members.
