Volunteering at Dans la Rue

On Wednesday, March 14, Trek for Teens Montréal members volunteered at the homeless youth shelter Dans la rue. The group prepared hot dogs for distribution to youth on the streets. In total, volunteers prepared 900 hot dogs to feed approximately 900 hungry individuals on a cold winter night. After volunteering, Trek for Teens members were led on a tour around the shelter and were introduced to various functional rooms. The team also saw the van used to distribute food, clothes, and warmth to youth on the streets.

Trek for Teens Montréal was inspired to see the community working together in order to address the issue of youth homelessness - they were also grateful to be able to personally contribute to the changes. If you would like to get involved with the region, send us an email.
